    9 July 2020

The European Feed and Food Ingredients Safety Certification (EFISC-GTP Aisbl) is proud to announce that SGS The Netherlands is the first certification body accredited (among the EFISC and GTP Authorised Certification Bodies) for the new EFISC-GTP Code 4.0 for all the scopes (D, F and G).

The process was headed in SGS by the certification manager Mr Roy Giesen (here the contact in the EFISC-GTP webpage). The accreditation was carried out by the Dutch Accreditation Council.

The EFISC-GTP Code version 4.0 (published on 15 March 2019) is the result of the unification of the EFISC Code and the GTP Codes and their adjustments to meet recent developments following the merger of the European Feed Ingredient Safety Certification Scheme (EFISC) and the COCERAL Good Trading Practice Code (GTP Code).

The new EFISC-GTP Code 4.0 is fully aligned with the requirements of ISO/ IEC 17021:2011 supplemented by ISO/ TS 22003 (food safety management system).

Specific sector documents, which are part of the code, cover the following activities:

    - Vegetable oils and protein meal processing

    - Starch processing

    - Biodiesel processing

    - Malt processing

    - Collection, storage, trade and transport of safe feed/food ingredients
