EFISC- Code version 3.0 of the European feed ingredient safety certification system- implementation as of 1 February 2014 08/01/2014
Over the last two years, the EFISC certification scheme has been revised based on the evaluation process with the European Accreditation Body as well as the process of mutual recognition with GMP+, QS, FEMAS and OVOCOM. As a result, the formalisation of the mutual recognition agreement will be concluded in the near future. Therefore EFISC Aisbl is pleased to publish the new version of the EFISC Code version 3.0 and the Rules of Certification version 3.0.
As a result of the revision the EFISC certification scheme is fully aligned with the requirements in ISO/ IEC 17021:2011 supplemented by ISO/ TS 22003 ( food safety management system). This step forward provides further improvement of the EFISC feed safety management system certification and provides a solid basis to further strengthen customers confidence in EFISC. As such the EFISC scheme version 3.0 will deliver value and improved feed safety in the EU market. The EFISC version 3.0 will be applicable for all new contracts and surveillance audits as of 1 February 2014.
